ca.news.yahoo.com/yoga-pants-r…I've had a problem with people wearing Lululemons randomly for awhile now. There are several issues I see here with the situation described in the above article.
Firstly, yoga pants shouldn't be worn outside of the yoga studio, period. Of course, it's not necessarily a huge fashion disaster if people choose to wear them outside of the yoga studio, but it shouldn't been seen as a fashion. Everytime I see silly young teenage girls bragging about how their entire closet is full of exclusively Lululemons, I just want to facepalm myself. There are other clothes besides yoga pants. And this is the generation that's going to set the next fashion trend for us?
Secondly, WHY are teenagers having this debate at school? Do they really have so much free time on their hands that they have nothing better to worry about than their pants? What about homework? Exams? Academics? I thought people go to school for education.. not to show off their ass in tight-fitting pants meant for people who practice yoga.
Most importantly, HOW did these teenagers afford $100 yoga pants to begin with? Do they even practice yoga? And if they do, how did they afford $100 a month for yoga memberships?
Sigh... am I getting old? It wasn't that long ago when I was a teenager. Yet, recently, all I can think about are the appalling images of my own daughter becoming like one of the teenagers today. And I don't even have a daughter! I'm not even married! Just 2 days ago I read another article about a school banning kilts because girls had them hiked up so high without any underwear underneath so that the bottom of their bum would show. One guy who went to a school like that said it was for easy banging in the bathroom between breaks. Yikes o_O But anyway, I'll save that for another post. Have to get to work now >.> If I continue, I'll never shut up lol.
